  At Sunrise Weight Loss and Wellness, we believe that weight loss is not just about losing weight, it’s about gaining health. Our main focus is sustainable weight loss, improved health and overall wellness. Therefore, our approach involves a comprehensive approach to weight management including an initial 60 minute consult, laboratory evaluation, coaching on healthy eating and exercise, and medication, if indicated. The GLP-1 medications are most widely used, however, our programs are not one size fits all so we will consider the best treatment plan for you which may include the use of other medications.  Please note, we do not prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications.

We will work with you one-on-one to help you stay accountable, motivated, and to set and achieve realistic goals. To be sure you are fully supported, you will have regular follow ups with your Provider. Through an individualized and supportive approach, sustainable weight loss is possible for everyone!

GLP 1 Receptor Agonists (GLP-1s) are injectable medications that mimic our natural hormones that help to reduce both appetite and cravings and slow down how quickly food is digested, leaving you feeling fuller longer.  These medications are used in combination with healthy diet and regular exercise while focusing on the behavioral/emotional aspect of overweight and obesity. 

Use of these medications is indicated for those individuals with a BMI 27 or greater with a medical condition such as pre-diabetes or high blood pressure or a BMI of 30 or higher.
